Aaaaahhhhh! Somebody do something!

One of the odd Perks(?) about TX. TUMBLEWEEDS! This beauty blew through our yard and ended up against our fence. Jen grabbed it for a picture.

Welcome to the neighborhood!

So we had some people move into the neighborhood a couple of weeks ago. And this is the site they had to come home to the other day. There garage on fire, 5 or 6 fire trucks, 15 or so firemen, a mutilated garage door and all there neighbors watching.

Crap Texas!

The faint orange hue (kind of hard to see in this photo) in the distance isn't the sunset or sunrise...it's dust. Dust, dust, dust. every day it's nothing but 50 mph winds and tons of red dust in your teeth. I'll have to get a picture of a really bad day (this is pretty tame).
